Thus far, the programme has proceeded at cracking pace. A Finnish youth delegation attended the launching of the youth programme in Kathmandu in March 2007. After the launching Nepalese youth got together again already in May and started to outline a joint political programme for youth in Nepal. The outcome was a programme with five areas of priority which are as follows:

- Inclusive democracy (intra-party as well as more widely)

- Social services (health, social security)

- Equal opportunities for youth regardless of gender, social or geographical background

- Education for all

- Sustainable and equitable development

During the autumn 2007 the representatives of Nepalese political youth and student organisations have attended seminars in which each area of priority have been discussed at time with help of Nepalese experts. The five areas of priority have thus gained more content during the autumn and the joint political programme of Nepalese youth is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
